On January 16, the 2020 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Top 10 News and Influential Figures Release Ceremony with the theme of "Tell a Good Story of the Chemical Industry to the Public" took place in the form of live streaming. At the event, the List of "Models in China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry" during the 13th Five-Year Plan period was announced, and Sennics won the award of "Models in China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry·Innovation Model".

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, centering on Sinochem Group's goal of "building a globally competitive and technology-driven innovative enterprise", Sennics followed the philosophy of "In Science We Trust", regarded technological innovation as its core competitiveness, built a market-driven R&D model where "industry players, universities, research institutions, and users can have close cooperation with each other", and improved the level of independent R&D, to strive to develop itself into a high-throughput "innovation engine". At the same time, we continued to strengthen foreign cooperation, and adopted an open research model. For example, in some key technology fields, we deepened cooperation with scientific research institutions and universities to jointly carry out technology development and engineering research, with an aim to intensify our scientific research efforts and improve our scientific research level. As a result, we made a many achievements and commercialized and applied them, and won unanimous recognition from the nation, industry and society. In terms of technological innovation, Sennics won the title of "2020 Demonstration Enterprise for Technological Innovation in China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry" in 2020 and the Ten Classic Models in Technological Innovation of the Sixth Pudong Headquarters Economy Award. In terms of scientific research projects, its self-developed "New Process for Hydrogenated Synthesis of Antioxidant 6PPD Using Precious Metals as Catalyst and the Technologies for Mass Production" has won multiple prizes, including the second prize for the National Technology Invention Award in 2018, and the project of "Development and Industrialization of New Process Intensification Technology for P-phenylenediamines Antioxidants" won the second prize of the Science & Technology Progress Award from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) in 2020. In terms of process technology, the 6PPD new process entered the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry (2019 Version), and the TMQ new process entered the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry (2020 Version).

Under the guidance of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) and sponsored by China Chemical Industry News, the event also released other categories of awards for the list of models including Reform Model, Brand Model, and Green Development Model in addition to the Innovation Model, which was presented to Sennics.
