In order to promote the application of advanced green process technology in the petroleum and chemical industry and enable the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry to play a bigger role in guiding the green development of the industry, the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry (2020 Version) compiled by CPCIF was released in Beijing on January 15. Sennics' process of continuously synthesizing 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline polymer (TMQ) with composite solid acid as catalyst was also included.
By combining the respective advantages of the "one-step" and "two-step" methods, we successfully developed a new process for manufacturing high content TMQ with the "continuous two-step" method: continuously synthesizing 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline polymer (TMQ) with composite solid acid as a catalyst, a process that has entered the List this time. The change from intermittent quantitative feeding to continuous feeding by pumps greatly improves the safety of field operators, reduces the generation of "three wastes" (including waste gas, waste water, and industrial residue), and effectively increases the effective substance content of antioxidant TMQ products. The product quality has far exceeded that of domestic similar products, and even reaches the international advanced level at present.
There are 7 new entries and 10 new processes in the 2020 edition of the List compared with the 2019 edition, bringing the total number of entries to 30. In addition to the new process for TMQ production included in the 2020 edition of the List, Sennics' new process for the hydrogenated synthesis of antioxidant 6PPD using precious metals as a catalyst was also included in the list of petrochemical green processes (2019 edition) in December 2019.
