On the morning of October 20, the groundbreaking ceremony of Sennics polymer additives project took place at the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park. Liu Hongsheng, President of The Chemical Division of Sinochem Group, General Manager of Sinochem International, and Chairman of Sennics, Su Fu, Deputy General Manager of Sinochem International and CEO of Sennics, Xiang Xuelong, Secretary of the CPC Lianyungang Municipal Committee, and Fang Wei, Mayor of Lianyungang, lit up the crystal ball symbolizing the kickoff of the project together. This marketed a critical step forward for Sennics down the road of strategic development.

Shi Haibo, Party Secretary and Director of the Administrative Committee of the Xuwei New District of Lianyungang, hosted the groundbreaking ceremony. He said that the Sennics polymer additives project is the fourth major project kicked off for construction at the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park, it's a major move taken by the Xuwei New District in an effort to materialize the decision of the CPC Lianyungang Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government of Lianyungang for "seeking high-quality development and demonstrating the latecomer advantage", and it's also a solid step taken by the Xuwei New District to drive the construction of a first-class petrochemical industrial base in the world.

Su Fu, Deputy General Manager of Sinochem International and CEO of Sennics, said that, after the hard work for over one year, Sennics Lianyungang has become a new starting point for Sennics' innovative and entrepreneurial adventures. The construction of Sennics Lianyungang will strictly follow the requirements of being the first-class in the world on four indicators: environmental impact & safety, production process & equipment, input & output, and quality & brand. The polymer additives project to be built here will become the first-class clean, smart and green production base for polymer additives in the entire world where multiple products will be manufactured and production activities will be in concert with upstream and downstream partners by resource matching, by relying on the advantage of the industrial park's circular economy, and by adopting the in-house developed, globally leading green production process as well as the overseas technologies to gradually form a "green and circular" product chain, and to realize the upstream and downstream extension of the value chain.

Liu Hongsheng, President of The Chemical Division of Sinochem Group, General Manager of Sinochem International, and Chairman of Sennics, said that the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park is an important arena for The Chemical Division of Sinochem Group "to build an innovative fine chemicals enterprise". He emphasized that the groundbreaking of Sennics Lianyungang indicates that the development of Sennics has entered an important stage, and also marks an important milestone for the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park. He required that everyone at Sennics should work as one and concentrate the best resources to win the key battle for strategic upgrade and development with "high-quality development" as the beacon, with "green & innovation" as the driver, and by following the "In Science We Trust" and "People Are the Key" philosophies. He added that the company should make Sennics Lianyungang the strategic bridgehead for The Chemical Division of Sinochem Group in pursuing innovative development "with the determination and ambition to build a new Sennics".
