To promote the adoption of advanced green technologies in the petroleum and chemical industry and give further play to the role of the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry in leading the green development of the industry, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), in accordance with the arrangements by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), published the List of Green Processes in the Petrochemical Industry (2019 Version) in Beijing on December 31. Sennics' "New Process for the Synthesis of P-phenylenediamines Antioxidant 6PPD Using Catalytic Hydrogenation Promoted by Precious Metals" was included in the List. Tang Zhimin, Vice President of Sennics, and Li Shiwu, General Manager of Sennics Anhui, attended the release event.
The "New Process for the Synthesis of P-phenylenediamines Antioxidant 6PPD Using Catalytic Hydrogenation Promoted by Precious Metals" appearing on the List this time has its unique advantages, such as mild reaction conditions, high intrinsic safety, high atom utilization, and low energy and raw material consumption. The process uses raw materials from eco-friendly sources, and fully closed, continuous and automatic process technologies, with almost no waste gas, waste water or industrial residue generated during the production. Winning the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2018, the process has been substantially driving the efficient, green, safe and sustainable development of the fine chemical industry in China.
As a leading manufacturer of polymer additives in the world, Sennics has always adhered to its philosophy of "In Science We Trust, Innovation for the Future", and leveraged technological innovation to enhance its core competitiveness, to optimize and innovate its production process, to adopt more green technologies in production, so as to conserve energy, reduce consumption and promote green development and environmental protection, and lead the green development of the polymer additives industry. Meanwhile, it will work together with its suppliers, customers, value chain partners and its employees to share resources, create value, grow together and improve the industry's capability to achieve sustainable development. Thanks to its achievements in corporate social responsibility fulfillment, it was widely recognized in the industry and by international organizations. For example, it won the title of "Most Socially Responsible Enterprise" from CPCIF in 2018, and its subsidiary passed the review of the Together for Sustainability (TFS) on the international level and won a high score of 99 (The total score is 100.).
