Sennics is committed to promoting environmental conservation and Sustainability, so it not only sets strict standards for itself, but also tries to exert a positive impact to others. Specifically, the company implements the sustainable procurement strategy that centers on "adopting intensive controls, implementing intelligent management, and stepping up efforts to shift the focus from transactional processing to strategic management in procurement management to improve its competitiveness in sustainable procurement management in an all-round way". We want our suppliers to follow the same values with us in terms of Sustainability issues, such as economic development, social responsibility and environmental conservation. We seek long-term, trusted and win-win strategic partnerships. The Sustainable Supply Chain Team under the Sustainability Working Group is responsible for the work, to achieve our vision: "Implementing Green Procurement to Build a Best-in-Class Supply Chain that Delivers Competitive Advantage".
1. Ethical procurement
Sennics complies with applicable laws and regulations and international conventions in all the countries/regions where we operate, and requires suppliers to comply with applicable laws and regulations on anti-monopoly, anti-unfair competition, import and export trade, anti-money laundering, and anti-corruption. We reject conflict minerals and see to it that the raw materials (e.g., tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold) used by Sennics and by its supply chain should not come from illegal mining or from disputed areas.
2. Reducing environmental footprint across the value chain
Sennics is committed to increasing the scope and proportion of green procurement, promoting the recycling of materials and the use of recyclable packaging, and reducing resource consumption throughout the supply chain. We encourage suppliers to join the "Embracing the Dual Carbon Goals for a Bluer Sky" action plan, conduct regular surveys to learn about their actions in reducing GHG emissions, and provide training for and cooperate with them to help reduce GHG emissions across the supply chain.
3. Protecting human rights across value chain
Sennics delivers respect for and protection of human rights through its business operations and value chain. We expect our suppliers/subcontractors and sub-suppliers to work with us to comply with internationally recognized human rights and labor standards, to prohibit all forms of forced and child labor throughout the value chain, to oppose discrimination, harassment and abuse, and to respect the rights of equality and safety for all people, and their right to work freely.
4. Promoting supply chain diversity
Sennics encourages suppliers/subcontractors and sub-suppliers to take actions to promote diversity, equity and inclusiveness, and to work with us to maintain a supportive, open and inclusive workplace. The company is committed to enhancing opportunities for diverse businesses during the procurement of products and services, and providing partnership opportunities, training or other incentives for businesses owned by women, minority groups, the disabled and other vulnerable groups.
5. Developing, communicating and implementing Supplier Code of Conduct
Sennics has developed a Supplier Code of Conduct that communicates the requirements and expectations to suppliers in the areas of labor and human rights, HSE, business ethics and sustainability. Agreeing to and signing the Commitment Letter to Supplier Code of Conduct is one of the conditions to become a qualified supplier of Sennics. We provide necessary training, communication and guidance for employees, suppliers and other relevant parties. Our suppliers must observe all applicable laws and regulations in the country/region in which they operate and comply with Sennics Supplier Code of Conduct on ethics, labor and human rights, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety.
6. Supervising suppliers' CSR performance
Sennics incorporates sustainability into supplier selection and management, conducts risk assessment on suppliers based on their category, country (region), industry, credit and finance, and classifies and rates them according to their risk levels. We will establish and implement sustainability standards and procedures for supplier selection and evaluation, carry out CSR risk analysis, and continuously drive a sustainable supply chain through surveys and site audits.
7. Regarding CSR as a reference indicator for procurement
Sennics incorporates health and safety, business ethics and supplier sustainability into supplier audits throughout their lifecycles, includes sustainability into supplier performance assessment, and will select suppliers that excel at CSR during our procurement through awards, priority invitation to bidding, etc.
